Damián Suárez is a Venezuelan-Mexican visual artist whose practice reinterprets the legacy of Latin American modernism through weaving and large-format optical-kinetic compositions. His practice originates in a rural experience deeply marked by knowledge passed down through generations.

Exposed Roots It is a sculptural installation developed through a collaboration between Damián Suárez and the architect Manuel Díaz Salas-Porras. The work presents an allegory of migrant uprooting: roots that survive outside their place of origin.
